RankedAgility unveils Digit 5, its first humanoid built for safety near people

Agility Robotics has unveiled Digit 5, which the company describes as its "first cooperatively safe humanoid" built for factory and warehouse work alongside people.
The company says Digit 5 carries up to 50 lb (22.7 kg), 40% more than its predecessor, charges in nine minutes at a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio, and weighs 284 lb (129 kg) at 5 ft 11 in (1.80 m) tall. Agility says its RoboFab plant is designed to build up to 10,000 units a year at full capacity.
"Digit 5 is removing a major barrier to scaling humanoid robots in industrial environments," said Agility chief executive Peggy Johnson. Agility says early access begins in the first half of 2027, with general availability by the end of that year.
