Epson launches AX6, its first collaborative robot arm
The six-axis AX6 carries IP54 and ISO 5 cleanroom ratings; Epson has not published payload, reach or price in its announcement.
Epson Robots has introduced the AX6, a six-axis collaborative robot that the company describes as its first cobot. It joins Epson's AX Series and is available now through distributor partners, the company says.
According to Epson, the arm has a carbon-fibre structure, uses power and force limiting for work alongside people, and is rated IP54 and ISO 5 for cleanrooms. It runs on 100–240 V AC or 48 V DC. Programming uses no-code software, with a Python environment for customisation. Epson says it suits precision assembly, material handling and cleanroom work.
Payload, reach and price are not given in the announcement.
