Sharpa unveils D01 robot, 21-DoF W02 hand and AE01 haptic glove at IROS

Sharpa launched a tactile-sensing manipulation robot, a smaller dexterous hand and a teleoperation data glove at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh.

The D01 is a whole-body dexterous manipulation robot with electronic skin. The company says its arms have a payload-to-weight ratio of about 1:1, end-effector speeds above 10.5 m/s and 0.2 mm repeatability.

The W02 hand has 21 active degrees of freedom and is about 30% smaller than the earlier W01, the company says. It claims fingertip force sensing from 5 mN to 30 N at 1 mm spatial resolution, and an IP54 rating.

The AE01 is an exoskeleton data glove for teleoperation and first-person data capture. Sharpa says it uses 22 encoders, needs no calibration and gives 256 levels of haptic feedback per fingertip.
